We met..several times, but did not really connect until a chance meeting in October of 2006. After Brent's sabbatical, we went on our first date to see Ray La Montagne in concert (although neither were sure if it was a date) and the rest is history!

 

June 27, 2008, Brent came home early from the shop. I was napping and was not thrilled when he said he had a surprise that required me to get out of bed. On the table was the jewelry armoire he had been working on for me. "I just wanted you to see the progress I've made, and I need your opinion on some things," Brent said. I opened the door-it looked great to me! "Why don't you open the drawers too..." I started to get nervous. Starting at the bottom I carefully opened each drawer...empty. The second drawer from the top had black velvet in it...I pulled a little more and there was my ring! Brent took it from the box, knelt down and asked me to marry him - of course I said yes!
